We're Newbolds.

For us, an affinity for writing, advertising and communications is in-bred.  Limited gene pool, we surmise.  But it's a very promising scenario if you need brand assessment, advertising, a website, article, brochure,  press release, video script, sales kit, or even a matchbox cover written.

Dave Newbold

Heralded by ADWEEK magazine as a creative star in the Intermountain West’s ad industry, and as a “stellar creative talent” by One magazine, Dave's writing, concepts and creative drection have earned local, regional and national recognition for creativity from the American Advertising Federation ADDY Awards, the CLIOs, EMMYs and OBIEs, plus multiple honors from The One Show, Communication Arts, Print Magazine, Mobius Awards and the New York International Advertising Festivals.

He was named 2008 Utah Advertising Professional of the Year by the American Advertising Federation, and recipient of the AAF Silver Medal Award for lifetime achievement in the field of advertising.  In addition, he has earned over 475 Utah ADDY awards and received AAF-Utah Creative Director of the Year honors.  He was also selected as a judge for the prestigious 2012 Communication Arts Advertising Annual.

Gail Andersen Newbold

Gail, formerly the Senior Editor of Community Magazine, a Utah-based publication owned by Zions Bank with a circulation of 75,000, also regularly wrote articles for that magazine during her 15 years on the staff.  She is the author of On New Wings, an introspective, self-help book published by Covenant Communications.

Over the course of her writing career, she has also written for the Deseret News, Salt Lake Tribune, This People Magazine, The Ensign, BYU Magazine, The New Era and the Daily Herald.  In addition, she's also been the editor of Utah Business Magazine and Wasatch Digital IQ.

Gail has ghost-written several books, penned corporate newsletters galore, written major websites, practically memorized the AP Style Guide, taught writing and public speaking at LDS Business College plus journalism and advanced editing classes at BYU -- all while successfully riding herd on five children.

Farrah Newbold Lamoreaux

Currently a contract promotion and PR specialist for several Denver ad agencies, Farrah was previously a marketing communications manager at DanoneWave Foods in Denver, Colorado, and a part-time corporate communications consultant for WhiteWave (prior to its purchase by Danone) — all while fulfilling yet another role: mother of three. Farrah has managed brand-building promotions and publicity campaigns for Beechnut Foods, Silk Soy Milk, International Delight and Land-O-Lakes.  On the side, she has also written articles for Community Magazine.

Prior to her experience with WhiteWave, Farrah was a senior account executive in the Sacramento office of Fleishman-Hillard, one of the nation's most respected public relations firm, where she planned client strategies and supervised client events and public communications for the National Honey Board, California Dairy Farmers and other clients.  She's a stickler for details, and manages budgets and deadlines with conscientious zeal.

Farrah also enjoyed a three-year stint as a publicist for Time Warner in New York City, planning and running media campaigns for renowned authors, interfacing with national media outlets and managing up to twenty separate publicity accounts per year.

Noelle Newbold

Noelle is a woman of many titles, including Creative Director, Senior Digital Designer, Art Director, Designer, Mother, Runner, and 9th Grade Class VP.  A graduate of the design program at Utah State University, she began her career at Time Warner in New York City.  Three years later she headed to Madison Avenue (figuratively) where she assumed Art Director duties for Lowe & Partners, a NYC ad agency with worldwide offices, on the Got Milk campaign, GMC, Johnson & Johnson, XM Radio, and SAAB. While there, she joined the digital revolution, developing skills in digital design, motion graphics and programming.

Soon thereafter, she was wooed away to Crispin Porter + Bogusky, a firm Advertising Age magazine dubbed the best in the world two years in a row. There, she applied her interactive design talents on behalf of Burger King, VW, Microsoft, Old Navy, Hulu, and Coke Zero — a premier account list.

After several years, she was lured from CP+B to work on Nike+ and Converse at R/GA, NYC (named Interactive Agency of the Decade by Advertising Age).

Within six months she re-designed Converse.com, and immediately thereafter jumped into creating a web and mobile platform for Nike’s latest addition to their Nike+ line – the Nike+ FuelBand. That FuelBand digital platform on which she collaborated happened to win the highest award in the ad industry — the Titanium Award at the Cannes Festival in 2012.

She then served as an Associate Creative Director with Spotify in NYC. Presently, she’s a Group Creative Director at BASIC/dept, an international ad agency, and leads their embedded creative team at Google in Silicon Valley.

Laney Newbold Williams

The former Marketing Director for Andavo Travel, the consumer travel division of Christopherson Travel, one of the nation’s top ten travel planning companies, Laney previously worked in Los Angeles as a Senior Account Executive on Nestle brands for one of the world’s largest ad agencies, Publicis. Prior to that, she was Senior Coordinator – Print & Direct Marketing for Virtuoso, a luxury travel services provider based in Seattle.

Her experience in those positions has covered both online and traditional marketing activities -- from consumer promotions, brand research, and national product launches to strategic planning, social media programs and targeted direct mail.

But none of that experience is more rewarding than raising three lively children and, in the process, overseeing a myriad of lessons, games, practices and schoolwork.

She’s a perfect mash-up of “seriously buttoned-down” and “refreshingly upbeat,” with an attention-to-detail orientation that breeds absolute confidence in the minds of her employers.

Brooke Newbold Wilhelmsen

With multiple years of SEM management experience, Brooke knows the ins and outs of Google (and Yahoo, and Bing) — at a very deep level.  She’s a pro at Facebook advertising, too.

She began working for Richter7 in 2008 as a Web Media Buyer and later added the title of Digital Media Manager.  She oversaw all of the agency's paid search efforts and online analytics while managing over a million dollars of online media annually. In short, she was immersed in SEM before most advertising professionals in Utah had a clue about it.  Along the way, she completed several major SEM certifications.

At Richter7, Brooke created and executed online media plans and directed analytics for clients such as Zions Bank, BSD Medical, Park City Chamber of Commerce, Neumont University, and the Utah Museum of Fine Arts.

After taking a short break to have her second child, she was hired as a Digital Media Specialist at Ragnar, a well-known, North American endurance race organizer based in Utah. Several years later she joined Harmon Brothers, a large Utah-based ad agency, as Digital Media Director.  Then she headed off to New York City, where she was employed as Director of Creative Accounts at Power Digital Marketing, a digitally-focused ad agency with several East Coast offices. Being multi-talented, she has also written articles for Community Magazine -- further substantiating that, for Newbolds, writing is genetic.

Conner Newbold

Conner excels at both design and writing, having penned articles for Community Magazine and BYU's Daily Universe.  He graduated from BYU with a degree in communications -- advertising emphasis. During his time at BYU, he interned at Richter7 and was employed as an advertising designer for the BYU Daily Universe, where he designed the campus newspaper and associated seasonal publications.

His professional career began at Signal Theory, a Kansas-based ad agency and an Advertising Age Regional Agency of the Year.  After rising to the “rank” of senior writer, he left to join the Meter Group in Washington where he fills the role of Creative Content Manager.

His passion for advertising is only matched by his zeal for calligraphy, upscale fountain pens, biking and exploring the Great Outdoors.
